Why Onshore Africa
Four reasons buyers here start the conversation
Two to four times the pace
The same scope of work takes a quarter to a half the hours, measured on our own engagements as features delivered per hour: a quarter of what a team working without AI tooling needs, a half of what one using a general coding assistant needs. It comes from LightHouse Foundry running the whole lifecycle rather than from a tool added to an unchanged process. A small team does what a large one would. The engagements behind the range are discussed at scoping. It is the difference between a backlog that grows and one that clears.
Built where the industry said it couldn’t be
Onshore has delivered for Boeing, Mastercard, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Nike, Jones Lang LaSalle, Seaboard Marine and McWane — from rural American communities the technology industry overlooks. Onshore parent-company record.
One set of numbers everyone works from
Systems built at different times by different teams, never meant to talk to each other — we make them reconcile, so the board report, the regulatory return and the operations dashboard agree. The data foundation, the governance and the reporting come before any model goes near them.
Your team ends stronger than it started
Your engineers learn the methods, the tooling and the reasoning behind each decision while the work is happening, not from a document at the end. What they gain is theirs to keep.
Questions we are asked
How is your AI different from what everyone else is saying?
Most AI tools forget. Every session starts from nothing. The platform we work on is built the other way round — a persistent record of decisions, outcomes and rationale that later work is informed by. On a two-year program with a vendor change and a leadership change in the middle, that record is the difference between institutional memory and starting again. I would rather walk you through it against one of your own workflows than describe it.
Where will our data be held?
That is a design question with a country-specific answer, not a slogan. Which country’s law applies, what class of data is involved, and whether the workload is regulated all change the answer, and I will not give you a blanket promise that data stays in Africa or anywhere else. What I will do is put the architecture, the data flows, the processing locations and the subprocessors in writing before you sign, and confirm the applicable obligations against the enacted text of the law rather than against a summary of it.
What does this cost?
We do not publish pricing, and there is a reason beyond commercial caution: a published number for an engagement whose scope has not been defined is either meaningless or misleading. Tell me the outcome, the systems involved and the constraints, and you will get a scoped proposal with the inclusions, the exclusions and the change-control rule written down. Bounded first engagements exist precisely so this is a small decision.
Are you registered locally?
We are not. Where a procurement requires local registration, a tax clearance certificate or in-country past performance, we bid as a consortium. The partner is selected for that procurement, named in the bid, and the split of work between us is set out explicitly in the contract. We never present an informal relationship as a constituted consortium.
You have no references in this market.
Correct — we have none here, and I am not going to dress up a parent-company engagement as an African one. What I can offer is the parent record with its scope stated plainly, a first engagement small enough that the risk is bounded, written acceptance criteria, and a named person accountable for the outcome. If you need three local references before you can proceed, we are not the right vendor for this procurement and I would rather establish that today.
Are you actually local? Where is your African office?
We are not. Onshore Africa is currently a U.S.-based initiative — we do not operate an incorporated African entity or a permanent office on the continent, and I would rather tell you that now than have you find it out in due diligence. What we do have is a U.S. contracting entity you can enforce a contract against, an Onshore executive from the region who works this market himself, and a stated model for programs that require local registration: we name the partner who holds it, in writing, on the statement of work.
What we do
Six things, and a Microsoft practice. Each one comes with a named team, acceptance criteria written before the work starts, and disclosed delivery locations.
- Build
Software development, by a managed team
A named team, written acceptance criteria, and disclosed delivery locations.
- Test
Independent testing and acceptance
Criteria written before the work, and a matrix that says, requirement by requirement, what is demonstrated.
- Run
Service desk and application maintenance
Tiered support, with the scope, the hours and the escalation path stated per engagement.
- Secure
Security engineering and architecture, with response behind it
Identity and access architecture, hardening, vulnerability management and incident response. Monitoring is part of it rather than the whole of it.
- Modernize
Ageing platforms, and the data inside them
We start from what exists rather than from what should have been built.
- Apply AI
AI you can govern, with a record of its own reasoning
Two to four times the productivity of a traditional development model — the same scope of work in a quarter to a half the hours — with the governance, quality and accountability an enterprise or a ministry requires.
- Microsoft
Microsoft engineers and architects you can escalate to
Microsoft 365, Azure, security and identity — and an alternative to Microsoft Unified Support, delivered as a service of this practice.

What are you trying to get done?
- We need software built, and a team that can build it
- Something has been built and we need it verified before it goes live
- We need someone to run and support what we already have
- We need to be watched around the clock
- Our platform is old and the people who built it have gone
- We have an AI mandate and no way to judge what is real

Something else — tell us in a sentence.
Start with a bounded first engagement
Fixed scope, written acceptance criteria, a defined end. Described entirely through what is reviewed, what is changed and what you supply — so the first decision is a small one.
Request a fixed-scope quote- A named engagement lead, and disclosed delivery-team locations.
- Kickoff, an agreed access plan, and written success criteria.
- An executive readout with prioritized recommendations.
- Written exclusions and a stated change-control path.
- No automatic long-term commitment.
